Small business owners can leverage their banker | Hartford Business

The Buckster writes: The idea of leveraging your banker is an idea I really  had not given much thought to from a small business point of view but as I read this article it makes perfect sense.  I do my banking business with a national bank and the thought of using my small business banker went right over my head until I read this article.  It allowed me to open my eyes and see just what my banker may be able to do with me and for me.  The thing that gets me about this whole article is that one of my business partners was and still dabbles in the mortgage banking industry.  He was a priop Senior Vice President that has a knack for IT.  Since joining forces with this individual he has brought many things to the table and has given me wisdom in different areas.  He also has humbled me from a business aspect to be aggressive but not greedy. One of his favorite saying is “Only Pigs get Slaughtered” which has taught me to be patient but more importantly balanced with what I am trying to do.  In other words, he is a banker that I have been able to leverage as both a partner and a friend. This article touches on 5 areas where you may be able to leverage you banker.  This is a good read and it may open your eyes like it did mine.  Enjoy!!!
