What You Should and Shouldn’t Store in the Cloud | Fox Small Business Center

The Buckster writes: I have been on the band wagon in regards to cloud technology but now lets sit back and get an understanding of what information you want to put on the cloud as well as how well you will fair if the internet was taken from you for lets say a week.  I do believe their is a need for the cloud technology. There is no denying that.  I myself have been caught on numerous occassions where I have lost information.  The thing about what had happen is that I know better.  As the owner and nearly 20 years of working in the technology sector I know the importance of backing up information and I failed to do so.  The use of cloud technology is one that each small business owner needs to take a good look at to decide what information needs to be on the cloud and what information needs to be backed up the old fashion way.  The article of What You Should and Shouldnt Store in the cloud that does a good job of explaining what steps are necessary for small business owners from a security aspect.  It also give a high level detail of what items you want and do not want on the cloud.  I want to take a one step further and say All small business owners should keep their most important electronic documents in multiple locations.  When I say multiple locations I am talking physical as well as media types such as Tape Backup, DVDs, and even external hard drives.  Take a read this is a very good article.  Enjoy!!!
