The Buckster writes: Over the last several months I have been going back and forth in what direction I needed to go to grow my business at a higher pace.  I believe this starts with the people I want to attract. After reading this article I want to take the opportunity to look at my culture and what the company as a whole is bringing to the table.  I am of the belief that if my people are happy then the company we grow leap and bounds.  I understand that budgeting and forecasting are all a part of business but again my desire is that my business grows.  As I was reading this article it became apparent that Culture is a big underlying factor with the growth and the success of my business.  I began to look at all the big companies that I have had the pleasure of working for to include the US Military in its hayday at the height of large enlistments. I take it back when we had the cold war and the culture of the military was we all stick together but then that culture changed when the cold war ended and as a result the culture of the military changed and thus did the attitudes of those enlisted.  Lets take other large organizations when they were small such as Walmart.  Walmart when they first started grew because the culture was all about meeting the needs of the families.  Now we look at Walmart and their culture is changing to the point that many of my friends and family do not even want to shop anymore because the level of service is dropping.  This article really lends itself to all businesses to take a look at where they are going and how they want to get there and what culture do they want to interject to get there.  This is an excellent read to anyone that wants to change their cultures or better yet for those that want to begin to develop their cultures as a whole.  Enjoy the read!!!
